Coverage mission

What you are looking at

Everything on this map was physically detected by a phone that was actually there. Nothing is modelled, estimated or filled in.

Bitchat peerA device broadcasting its presence on the public mesh, by its own choice.
Meta glasses nearbyThe recording-awareness signal those glasses broadcast.
Nearby-device activityA short-window radio count placed at the centre of its H3 hex. It measures radios, never people.
YouYour live position, from your own browser. It never leaves this device.
Hex fill: Bluetooth coverageHow much real Bluetooth traffic has been recorded in that hexagon.
Hex border: Wi-Fi coverageAccess-point density, counted the same anonymous way.
Centre dot: cellular signalRed poor to green strong, averaged over real readings there.

This is the live view. The network also records GNSS sky, WiFi and cellular spectrum, magnetic field, air pressure, night light and sound level. Those layers, plus search-by-area for anywhere on Earth, live on the Explorer.

What is being measured right now

Every line is a real reading sent by a phone that was there. Each layer is drawn against its own range, because a hectopascal and a decibel share no scale, so heights are comparable within a line and never between two. Nothing here is smoothed, filled in or carried forward.
